Overview

LRES1016PF-SFP+ is a PCI Express x4 single-port fiber 10G Ethernet network adapter developed by Linkreal Co., Ltd. based on the Intel main control solution. In addition to the functions of managing Ethernet MAC and PHY layers, this server adapter card can also manage the traffic of the passed data packets. The controller can share tasks for the server host through hardware acceleration, such as TCP/UDP/IP verification, offload, calculation tasks, and TCP segmentation.

The LRES1016PF-SFP+ adapter card provides hardware enhancements such as intelligent queue technology optimized for multi-core processors. It supports on-chip load balancing and can achieve a higher level of expandable performance of 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Providing Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-c) at the network level can significantly improve the overall system performance in a virtual server environment. Intel VT-c technology includes many hardware optimization features, which can greatly reduce I/O bottlenecks, increase throughput and reduce latency. Intel VT-c's component virtual machine device queue (VMDq) significantly improves performance and reduces CPU utilization by offloading the data sorting load from the virtual machine monitor (VMM) to the network controller. Enhanced features include offloading the exchange between virtual machines in the server, and direct connection of virtual machines (VMDc) to virtual machines.

The LRES1016PF-SFP+ server adapter provides multiple hardware optimization features for I/O virtualization and supports a unified network to transform the data center with outstanding reliability, scalability, and mobility. Allowing local area network (LAN), storage area network (SAN) and IPC traffic to share the same Ethernet network can provide higher performance levels for high-bandwidth applications in evolving virtualized data centers.

The server adapter card can also support iSCSI, FCoE, PXE and other boot. This feature allows SAN and LAN traffic to share the existing Ethernet infrastructure without the need for a dedicated iSCSI adapter. The advanced features included in the adapter card can greatly increase the speed of iSCSI traffic and support iSCSI remote boot.
